Not sure if this is the right forum but, is anyone awhere of any companies in the UK that sell rack server cases 19" 1 - 4U.

Also if I was to build my own server, is there any special hardware I would need. apart from scsci drives, network cards etc,

ie:
Special size Floppy drives
Special Motherboard types/sizes etc
Special Memory sizes (Height?)

or is it a standard equipment that a desktop PC uses?

I am experienced at building desktop pc from scratch.

You can get 1U - 7U cases at: http://www.acmetech.co.uk/

In most cases you can just use normal pc components.

If you decide you do not wish to build it yourself, Broadberry.co.uk, have an online "Build and Quote" rackserver system, which is very good and the pricing is competitive.
