Not sure if I understand your question.

Are you asking if you can have a web site that is nothing but ads?

Does that have something to do with WebHostingTalk?

Try this question in the lounge.
You can have any legal content you want to on a web site. If you want nothing but advertising go for it, but you will still need to give people a reason to want to go to your site to read the advertisements, otherwise all they do is take up space.

Sounds like you want to make a site like many of the hosting directories out there :D

I moved this to the Lounge so it will get more exposure.

If it really was a Suggestion for WebHostingTalk; you'll need to explain it better.

I've seen a few of these before, but how it was done would ensure that no one would ever go to the site, except if forced or tricked. Would you go to a site with just ads? Would you watch a t.v. channel that was just commercials and nothing else?

I can give you one suggestion
For example if you want to put all the adveritisements of all the hosting companies you know of,then instead of just putting there images and nothing else the more logical way would be to make up a directory having all there links. This way you could attrack more visitors and you won't have to worry about it being legal or illegal...and you could also earn money...

But people are already watching the TV. What is going to bring them to your site.

Advert only website is possible. A joke or humor site can be also be an advert only website. Aside from the banners of different sizes around every page of your site, plus pop ups and pop unders. In all of your humor content always include the products you advertise. For example: "Why did the monkey fall from the tree?" Because he is drinking Coca-Cola.:D
