Does anybody have experience with an
AMD-Athlon1000 CPU in a 1U Case?
Which Fan must I use, it becomes that the CPU doesn't destroy?
Many thank in advance for your answers.

It's been done before. I have some athlon processors in 1U cases. You need a good CPU fan and heatsink (I don't know one offhand). But you also need good cooling inside the cases. Our athlon servers have no less than 5 other fans inside the server moving cool air through.

Planet Z,
many thank for your answer. It would be very pleasant for me, if you could tell me the type of the CPU-fan and heatsink.
Thanks in advance

Unfortunately, I don't have the info with me (on my laptop). Maybe this thread will help: http://WebHostingTalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=13456

We have a dual AMD-Athlon1.2 GHZ in a 1U Case ad its running just fine no heating problems at all. I still dont recomend the new dual systems there are still a lot of bios updates going on, we are just running this server thru tests right now, it was the first one in a 1 u case ever sold but all is good so far.

Paul L.,
that is very interesting for me.
What typ of fan and heatsink do you use for your Athlon?
I build an 1U with Duron 800 and copper heatsink and radial-fan.
Do you mean that is enough for an Athlon?
Or must I use something else?
Thanks for your replay in advance.
