hi i'm a newbie here. anyways i noticed that alot of people that are members here own there own hosting company. so i'm bound to find some kind of host that has these features....

100 megabytes (or more what ever fits my budget)
3-5 gigs of bandiwidth
atleast 5 subdomains
password protected directories
cgi, and ssi. (i'm starting to learn ssi)
control panel
perl
customizable error pages
and php4 (learning this also)

my budget is gonna be no more than $40 yearly (hosting alone). since i'm only gonna spend no more than $50. the reason for this is because this is gonna be a personal domain (no profit from it at all) with my journal and other sites i made. also to host some of my friends websites. also i'm gonna need some good e-mail support since this is gonna be my first domain, and i know i'm gonna have some trouble with getting things to work right. so if you have what i need e-mail me or post here. thanks :)

also i'm not gonna purchase it until july 31. (reason for that is because thats my birthday)

oh yea i'm gonna be paying only with money orders or checks... no credit cards, since my dad won't let me.

40 dollars for 3-5 gigabytes a year is probably a good asking price, but not per month. I'd think your budget through again... :stickout

try valuablehost.com for annually plan.

I don't think you need 3-5gb if it's a brand new site. When it's getting popular, you can easily generate money to cover your hosting cost.

Happy birthday, just in case you will not be here on that day.

It depends ...i assume that it is gonna be a personal site with a journal and maybe a few hosted subdomains? Can you let me know your eMail address? I have the perfect package for you :)
