View Full Version : billing and automatic account creation
Any billing program available that does sign up/automatic account creation with cpanel/and billing? I want to know of other software, other than modernbill that will work on a reseller account.
Thank You:cool:
bonnmac 05-31-2003, 03:39 PM I think there is something called whm autopilot but I have no expierence with it. http://www.whmautopilot.com/autopilot.php
yeah but thats a bit pricey. I guess as an alternative, any billing programs that help with sign up/ and billing...and that going through paypal or something like that would be acceptable
bonnmac 05-31-2003, 03:59 PM Well, there's ClientExec http://clientexec.com which is what I use. Or there's phpmanager http://phpmanager.com and Perlbill http://perlbill.com
Or for free
phpcoin http://phpcoin.com
Does client exec, automatically create an account in Cpanel/whm?
And referring to the free billing program, NiXT whmManager v2.0
does NiXT support automatic account creation?

Not yet. According to Alberto, auto-provisioning features will come around version 1.5.
I would be cautious, however about implementing automatic account creation. By doing so you eliminate the manual checks to be sure the person purchasing is not a known spammer or fraud. I personally will not take that risk.

This all depends on how active you are in your sales and support department. If you never let more than 30mins to an hour go by before you see new sales and verify them, I see no problem with doing it.
If you check your email every 24 hours and are looking for a way to appear more active, automatic creation isn't such a good idea.
OK so i've decided to go the free non-automating account way!
So my choices are
NiXT
PHPCOIN
But which one is better that supports Paypal and others?
Which do people prefer?
Also, when someone signs up, am i notified my email, and in the admin panel, am i given the new users details to insert them into CPanel/WHM
bonnmac 05-31-2003, 07:40 PM I prefer phpcoin. It has a faq and a help desk integrated also.
Has anyone here used NiXT? If yes, can you share you expierence on the setup, ease of use etc. THanks
W1H - Lee 06-01-2003, 11:09 AM I was looking at Moderbill but have been edging towards PHPcoin, is PHPcoin as good as it looks.

I fully agree with you there. I have come across companies offering instant activation, then 3 days later suspending the order because they found something wrong. 3 days is way too long...especially if a spammer get's in.
We have just started using whmautopilot and are pretty happy with it to this point. There are some upgrades that need to be made, but the devoloper is very open with the plans for the product. It does have a trial that is available for download if you want to try it.
We do not use the auto activation for the above reasons, but having the account setting in que to allow you to activate and install to WHM in one click works well for us.
Does NiXT or PHPCOIN offer a refferal program, or optional promo code?

No referral program, and promo field as soon as I can get some feedback on how to implement.
Hey middleground, are you the same person from the phpcoin forum?
Im assuming..yes.
I also saw a post regarding a domain name check and integration. Is that available on phpcoin yet?

Yep- same dude :)
No domain integration yet. I use enom so really wasn't major thought until released. Some have integrated a MrWhoIs script to work in the meantime.
webgrafix 06-01-2003, 11:31 PM ModernBill will do Billing and Account Creation. Takes a few to setup, but works great once you get it going.
