Hi ,
I'm kinda new to paid hosing so I need a little help. :erm:

I'm constructing two fan sites, so what I need is a basic cheap package, I'm not really bothered about frills etc.
I need about 100MB of space. The only point which concerns me is the amount of transfer I will need, as I have a lot of image files (about 1000 and growing). I don't plan to get masses of visitors, probably around 250-500max per day. (To be honest the whole issue of transfer baffles me, but I don't want to get caught out and end up having to pay extra each month.)

Does anybody have any suggestions?

Just one last little Q. when a visitor right clicks and saves an image does it make any huge impact on transfer?

*Thanks

To answer your question, if the image is already downloaded by your visitor, then it won't have any impact on your bandwidth since it's already downloaded :)

Bandwidth usage is relative to your size of your images.
Whenever someone load your page, doesn't matter if he/she clicks and save the image or not, you will automatic account for bandwidth transfer.

You might want to post that you're looking for a host in the Web Hosting Advertising / Offers Forum :D

It would probably consume more bandwidth as you are running an image gallery website. Try to find out how much bandwidth you're using up then refer to some hosting packages that meet your requirement. Additional bandwidth are usually expensive.

I suggest you put the less important images on a free webspace. Then you can save a lot of money on bandwidth transfers.

OK I have another Q  If I do host most of the images on a free server when I create and index of thumbnails does this effect my transfer.
