View Full Version : Will this day kill me?
Artashes 05-30-2003, 03:06 PM This day officially sucks... Got into 1 car accident, came extremely close to making 1 myself (thanks to good brakes) and now I got a serious burn to my left hand, so I'm typing with my right...
I'm pissed and I'm tense and I think I'm going to take the rest of the day off and try and relax. :bawling:
damn.
blue27 05-30-2003, 03:22 PM Artashes, I have a solution for you.
Rum.
Artashes 05-30-2003, 03:23 PM blue, bad thing i don't drink alcohol.

That rules out my second option of Rye Whiskey.
How about a 60 minute massage with some Pink Floyd in the background. A little dose of wish you were here and some heavy kneading works for me.
alapo 05-30-2003, 03:48 PM I think you need some sleeping pills and a long long nap. And maybe get that hand checked out by a doctor.

Already did - my neighbour is an emergency room surgeon. He did something, but the hand hurts like crazy.. He says to give it 2-3 weeks of time... That means my coaching lessons get suspended, too. Its like I used my hand to make BBQ out of it - there is a darker layout on it.. not pretty. A really tough day. that's it, i'm going to sleep.
adirondack 05-30-2003, 04:06 PM percoset, i just took one myself.
cyansmoker 05-30-2003, 04:38 PM Artashes, don't worry, tomorrow will be another day.
madmouser 05-30-2003, 05:52 PM How did you burn your hand that badly?
Ask the doctor for a prescription of tylenol with coedine. Good stuff.

Probably the Air Bag burned him. My friend got burned when her air bag came out too. She was peeling for like 2 weeks. It was some nasty stuff.
i've been really depressed this afternoon, it seems like everyone hates me, I haven't been in contact with a person since 2:00PM and it is now 6:13PM .
ugh... i don't feel good.

It wasn't the air bag. I went to check on stuff close to the radiator and it just burned me. Its not as bad as it sounds, everything's be normal in 2-3 weeks. It hurts pretty bad right now tho, but I'll get through. Been in worse situations.
Thanks for your concern people. Feels good.
blue27 05-30-2003, 06:45 PM Hey Artashes, you're supposed to be sleeping. Just can't get enough of WHT eh?
Xshare 05-30-2003, 07:04 PM It's like drugs... but legal.
Giaguara 06-02-2003, 02:57 PM hey, for burnings honey is a miracle. clean the burned zone, the add a small layer of honey (dry is better), and then put something (cotton etc) to cover it. honey takes away the pain, and sucks the extra liquids out, and has a lot of minerals ec. i read about using it many years ago, and at least on me it works. :)
i hope you are feeling better today.
nmluan 06-02-2003, 03:22 PM My grandma has a jar of python's fat (yes, liquid python fat) to treat burns after all the modern stuff take place.
ML
I've always heard it helps to use the aloe vera plant for burns. I tried it a few times. Not quite convinced it really works, but give it a shot.
You know how much that hand hurts from the burn? Whenever I get a burn, it makes me try to imagine what those poor people must feel like who get burns to 80% of their body. If a small burn can hurt that much, it must be absolute torture when your whole body got burned.
Get better, Artashes. :)

RH Robert 06-03-2003, 12:50 PM Home remedies...yeehaw....
My mother and grandmother rubbed this on me for everything from warts to cuts and burns.......
Udder butter
Bag Balm
Aloe Vera
Vitamin E gel
but the best for burns is Silvadine (sp?), not a home remedy, ask your neighbor for some, but takes the burn away almost immediately.
JKLIVIN 06-03-2003, 07:13 PM The only problem with your logic (not to burst any bubbles ; ) is that the people with 80% burns usually have burnt off most of their nerve endings and don't really 'hurt,' per se.
