I've just got my own dedicated server set up and Intenseinfo kindly set it up to use the following name servers.

Name Server: ns.tgnetwk.com
Name Server IP: 66.54.168.241
Secondary Name Server: ns2.tgnetwk.com
Secondary Name Server IP: 66.54.168.242

I've registerd tgnetwk.com with Dotster with some time and registered my own name server under dotster 3 days ago, and tgnetwk.com still doesn't point to the server. Now it says it can't find the server although it used to re-direct to another site. What am I doing wrong?

Aloha

I thought the first one had to be ns1.blah
not just ns.blah ??
or will that work ???

although your second name server should have picked it up
if they are doing the dns did they setup the zone file correct ??
ask them to send you waht they put in the zone file and post it here
(was your 3 days 72 hours or you did it on fri night and checked it sun morning (like most of us) dotster seems to take at least 49 hours to get updated from what I have noticed ?)

Since NetSol is such a bugger and does not always automatically update, particularly wrt nameservers, you may just need to pop over to NetSol and register those nameservers using their host form.

Actually, it can be anything. I could make josh.planetz.net a nameserver. ns1 & ns2 are common subdomains for nameservers, but they aren't required.

I'll wait until Monday then to see if it's set up.

Are you sure I've done everything right? Do u need to see any server configs (we use Ensim).
