"King" Al - couldn't you get some of your minions to take care of it?:D

Seriously though. I would start by building the spec for your site. Follow by talking to and getting bids from some experienced web designers. They will be able to tell you what you will need.

As for hosting. Just make sure you find a host who can scale your services as your needs expand. Most can, but the cheapest might not.

edit: too many typos

being 16 is no excuse. You can choose to do things right or to do them cheap. If you are interested in doing a site just for learning, then it is OK to find the cheapest host and to simply muck around. You will learn (and not all of them positive lessons). But if you are out to satisfy customers and be in business for the long run, then it is time to slow things down and do it right.

totally agree, age has nothing to do with it. if you can post here on WHT and correspond with others, you're old enough.

you may want to look for a cheap host for the moment to get your feet wet. once you get the hang of things and your site grows, you can upgrade accordingly. since you mentioned you used FP, you may want to look for one that has support for it.

King Al, 16 year olds get a pretty bad rap on this forum because of the tendency to gravitate toward bargain basement hosts and then reselling at bargain basement prices.
Your best bet is to come up with a realistic business plan including how much space and bandwidth you will need in the beginning. You will be able to find a good host that won't cost you a fortune, just make sure you choose one who you can easily upgrade your account with.
If you are going to design your site by yourself just compare the finished product with other sites in the same genre and if you think it is comparable then go with it.
