Hello,

I am in the process of writing an article on Web Hosting and have been searching everywhere for statistics on the Web Hosting Industry. I am looking for some general information, such as the (Estimated) number of Host Providers in the world, number of websites currently online, size of the industry, growth patterns, etc.

I have checked a lot of different places, including Gartner, but have not come up with anything.

Any suggestions as to where I might find this information?
