Hi folks. I'm new to these forums and have a question about bandwidth/data transfer. How much bandwidth does a typical static web page with a few images and text eat up? I need to calculate how much data traffic I'm going to need. Thanks!

It depends on alot of things, amount of views, size of images, amount of text, amount of pages. If its very small like 2 pages and 4 pics, and very few hits, not even a gig....

Steve,
Your typical webdesigner will produce pages that range in the 30K to 60K range, which means that 4 Gig of transfer should handle around 80 - 90 thousand unique page views per month (@45K per page). That's if every visitor is new and never comes back (no cache). If your host offers gzip, those visitor numbers increase significantly.
Regards.
