Hi

Please tell me that I'm not going mad.

I have a domain (host4free.tv) which I am trying to get hosted. It's registered through www.ukreg.com.

Apart from fasthosts, I don't seem to be able to get any other host to anchor it.

It's almost as if some of the other hosts (webfusion / 4webspace etc) are having problems with this TLD?

When it was with 4webspace, it did resolve a couple of times but only if a whitespace was put in the Address bar (ie www.host4free.tv(space).

I'm running on all sorts of browsers and hit the same problem each time.

Unless Tuvalu (sic) have a problem with their nameservers.

Any help very much appreciated.

have you registered the nameservers you are using with the .tv registry?

Hi

No, using the hosts dns (eg ns1.fasthosts.co.uk).

Do I need to do that?

thanx

you may need to...go to www.tv and search for the nameservers. If they don't appear have the registar that registered your domain add them to the .tv registry

When you get an .tv domain, you should setup an account with www.tv. Now you login and change the dns settings.

Mine works well. I have never seen any .tv site use www.abc.tv(space) to work.

Thanks

My domain is, however, registered on www.ukreg.com.

I don't know how to do the dns through www.tv with ukreg.com being involved.

Any advice?

Thanks

sorry, I missed that. .tv costs about 30 pounds there, which is close to $50. Why buy a domain there when you can buy it at www.tv directly? I don't have any dns problems when using www.tv account management.

I think you should contact ukreg since I don't think the hosting companies have problems with this tld.
