We are a small dotcom...need colo in or near SF.
Probably need 2 full racks...not much bandwidth.
Just to give u an idea, we're currently at AT&T at
RedwoodCity...we have 2 racks, dual 1mbps drops.

Colo must be a Tier1,...must be relatively 'famous'
or reputable...due to our clientel...thats why we pay through
the nose for AT&T but now feel its way too much in this market.
Any ideas or experiences pls post. Thanks a lot!

Try contacting ExchangeColo. Lot's of companies like hostany colo there servers there.

Come join us at ExchangeColo.com in SF, you will have a ton of providers to choose from. You can get bandwidth through a reseller such as us or direct with a variety of providers. Cabinets won't be the cheapest at approx $800 per month, but the carrier choice makes up for it IMO.

He will be very cheap as far as the space goes, you are looking at like $300 per cabinet. But you can only use HE and will pay higher than at the Exchange.

So guess you just need to decided what you prefer ;-).

Exchange colo is way to go if u going to go west

The HE.net Fremont facility is about 30 minutes from San Fransisco...not far at all.
