The stats recently stop working for one of my accounts. How can I fix it? It's kind of weird because there are only one account involved, and it's not a large site with high traffic.

Can someone help me out?

What version of Webalizer are you running? Did you install it from the .pkg file?

I run Webalizer 1.30 on my raq3 holding several high traffic sites (160 gb monthly transfer). I had this exact problem and I could solve it following some instructions in this forum:

Info about Incremental processing:

http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=9484&highlight=incremental+and+processing

Steps for the fix on webalizer1.30:

http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=10813&highlight=webalizer

I did that some months ago, and all my sites generate statistics correctly.

Emm...

It's working again. It stopped showing the stats for 4th July. My customer mailed me for the issue. And I checked the stats. What he said was true. However, just now when I check it again. The stats is running again. But the stats before 4th July was removed. I wonder what had happened. Anyone has any idea?

By the way, I don't really understand what's the fix on two threads you mentioned for? What problem is that fix for? And thanks for posting the URL to me :) .

Does Webalizer generate log files or log errors to the syslog? You may want to check to see if Webalizer has an error log -- this will be a tremendous help.

You may want to check the following:
Cron entries -- I assume webalizer runs from cron (I actually have not used webalizer in a while since switching to wusage).

Permissions -- did any of the permission change that prevent webalizer from accessing the log files.

Log rotations -- are log files getting rotated too quickly? Suppose webalizer only looks at the current log file access.log but the log is getting rotated faster than webalizer runs -- you would then miss certain portions of the log as they were rotated out before they could be analyzed by webalizer.

Log errors -- make sure the log files are still working properly and you have done nothing to change the format.

As I told you before, I had exactly the same problem.

I just followed this post:

http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=10813&highlight=webalizer

Basically it sets Webalizer to use incremental processing and makes the webalizer run right after apache has rotated its log but right before the other logs are rotated (i.e the sites logs).

It solved that problem for me (I run webalizer 1.30 Pkg.).

You loose nothing to try that, and if you want you can step back to your actual configuration.

Sorry, I didn't look through your post in details. That's why I am not sure about why Incremental Processing has to do with my problem.

Thank you very much. I will try it. :)

And it seems like the whole webalizer logs for the server are not rotating ...
