Hello
I am using BurstNET (NOCSTER) for my dedicated server. I run a tracert a couple times a day jsut to check things out, and I noticed that I'm on a verio backbone now, and not a level3. What would be the reason for this? Am I ok on verio or should I request to go back on the Level3?

This is caused by BGP. Basically this routing protocol determines which network route is best suited for traffic from your location to Burst. When data leaves Burst, BGP will determine which network path is best for data to return to you.
If you'd like technical specifics: http://cs.ua.edu/438/cisco/chapter27.pdf

.. And/or nocster turned off a level3 circuit, level3 is learning the route (for the /18 that www is on, atleast) via verio.

Will my Level3 circuit go back into effect eventually?
BGP sounds a lot like OSPF... Idk how true this is as I am just learning it in my Cisco class but im tryin to compare apples to apples (apples to oranges?)
