Yes, he does. And no, I don't believe any other Site5 representatives browse these boards.

I just saw his post a few days ago regarding their Special Deals for dedicated server over web hosting offers forum. So I think he is still working for Site5.

Matt is the owner of SITE5, I believe ... Unless he sells site5 to someone else and retired, then he will always be working for Site5 ... what's up?

cheers,

No, he's not. I remember his saying he was just a tech.

Yes, Matt is NOT the owner of Site5, he is just a technician there :)

Actually, I can say with certainty that Matt IS the Majority owner of site5, if i'm correct there are also several other % owners of site5 but matt holds the majority

Heheh, you you are correct in saying so. Poor Matt we shouldn't talk about him while he isn't here.

Actually Matt is just a tech and programmer.

I agree with everyone that says Matt is the owner of S5. He does answer all queries and deal with all issues which lead me to believe he's the head honcho.

Quite frankly, I wish anyone who works for Site5 would at least respond to an emergency situation today...

Fiber...

Matt @ Site5 owns roughly 40% of the company
Vince owns around 20% and I believe his partners own the rest since they funded his startup.

I should know because Jordan tried to buy him out back at ultraspeed *shudder* but apparently since Matt isn't around to confirm / deny would could go in an arguing loop over and over and over :)

Wierd, i recall asking matt if he owned the company and he claimed he was just a tech, also when i was going to get a deciated deal thru them, CEO of site5 emailed me, i think the name was Deborah Tendoori or something similar.

I am certain Matt is the owner also - way back in the day in when ultraspeed, site5 and I were with burst I remember jordan trying to get me and Matt to go direct to VDI all together.

Well unless he sound out (which I doubt) then he may have reasons to wish not to be the owner or something, there could be many speculations there but as far as i know its just Matt and Vince but things coulda changed..

Hi All,

Quite an interesting topic here... I'm not sure of the relevance or appropriateness of it - but I will attempt to set the record straight nonetheless.

I am, in fact, a partial owner of Site5; however things have changed recently and I am no longer a majority stockholder. My responsibilities are simply that of any other systems administrator/developer, although I have been known to answer dedicated server sales inquiries as well. Vince owns 0% of Site5, and has never owned any portion of the company. There are other owners, but unfortunately I am not at liberty to disclose any further details at this time.

As far as myself not being around much, that doesn't mean that I'm not still working at Site5. I've been busier than ever lately, and no longer have the time to drop by and post here. If anyone has any questions for me, you can - as always - reach me at mlightner@site5.com.

Thanks for everyone's time interest. I'll catch you around.

Best Regards,
Matt Lightner

I'm locking this thread, as I tend to agree that discussions of this nature are inappropriate for a public forum. If you have questions regarding Site5's (or any other company's) business model - they should be directed toward said company... not here.
