UH-Matt 05-20-2003, 04:23 AM how about www.namecheap.com - maybe you should have posted in the domain names forum.

blob2 05-20-2003, 05:53 AM cheapest?
http://www.iregistrations.com $5.95/yr :D
friedmanlo 05-20-2003, 07:27 AM $7.79 RegNIC.com
friedmanlo 05-20-2003, 07:31 AM Anyone tried "iregistrations.com"? really $5.95 ? is that a scam?
it seems that it is an enom reseller.
blob2 05-20-2003, 08:35 AM Yep, its $5.95/yr. - make sure you cancel the hosting which is provided free for the first month if you dont want it.
I'd personally recommend locking in at that rate $59.95 for 10yrs, then your guaranteed.
friedmanlo 05-20-2003, 08:37 AM good ! i can save some more money $7.79- $5.95 = $1.84

Does it really work out to $5.95 when you cancel the bundled hosting at the end of the month???

$15/yr for a domain name is cheap! And your have a rate at half the price $7.79 and your still trying to get cheaper, unbelievable!
UH-Matt 05-20-2003, 09:10 AM Saving $1.84 but having to enter a hosting agreement and cancel sounds like too much effort for the saving.. Why not just pay a few dollars more and get a domain from a reputable place where you know the domain is yours. There are far too many horror stories of people losing domains to untrustworthy domain companies.
Here you go, reputable company and its cheap www.directnic.com
friedmanlo 05-20-2003, 09:30 AM is there any other registrar charge below $7.79 for a single domain for 1 year registration (and no other hidden charge and terms) ?
thanks

lol @ friedmanlo
anon-e-mouse 05-20-2003, 09:54 AM I guess while there are suckers who want the cheapest without looking at the end results, the scammers will prevail. :bawling:
Adonis 05-20-2003, 10:41 AM $5,95... so basically these guys offer registration services for which they earn next to no profit and just rely on the ignorance of their clients to forget to cancel the other options, so that the net profit ends up being much higher? Hmm sounds like the "unlimited bandwidth/space" scams that some hosting providers practise.
D-H.net 05-20-2003, 12:36 PM Lol, why try to find the cheapest.. why not the people that won't steal your money?? Also if you are in the domain reselling you won't find people wanting to buy a domain registered there. I recommend NameCheap.com I have an account there 8.88 for most TLDs and they have a easy control panel to manage the domains :)

And to that comment there is only 1 place I know of that actually gives unlimited space. My friend had them for 6 months before getting her own server.. most people don't use more than 1GB of space (if not less) but they think they need a lot. In my friends case she used about 5 GB space with them and they gave it to her. Support was also great, downtime towards the end was bad 1 day though (3 hours) but that's the night there was a huge storm.
Angel78 05-20-2003, 05:35 PM I have a SPAM in my Inbox from Iregistrations..bad
