Just curious, why are you using the Promise controller if the motherboard supports RAID natively?

Your missing the part about SATA RAID.

Thats a Serial ATA Raid card. The motherboard Supports IDE RAID.

Those are 7200 RPM Serial ATA drives. :) I think max transfer on those is around 150mb /sec

It would be nice if that was a SATA RAID controller on the mobo.

If you want IDE raid on the mobo then take $200 off.
