I went to niccx.com and noticed the following error:

---------------------------------------------------
IMPORTANT NOTICE

Planet Three is currently restructuring its operations and particularly it's CX domain name registrations services. Unfortunately t his has caused an outage and we are endeavouring to remedy this as soon as possible.

The situation is due to be remedied shortly and we will be contacting all of the CX registrants soon to explain the situation.

Thanks for your patience.

Does anyone have any information about this issue? I needed to change my nameservers because I was moving translator.cx to another server, but I wrote an email to the niccx.com people yesterday and I just received a reply from them which says they'll change them for me via email. The reply came ~ 24 hours after I wrote them, which is pretty good.

Thanks!

The same thing happened to someone I know. He got a reply in about a day and they said they'd change their nameservers.

I don't have any more info on the situation, though.

I logged into my account at niccx.com and modified the dns about one month ago. Nothing happened when I checked the dns info at nic.cx. The DNS was old, although new info was shown at my niccx.com account. Wrote to the email address at the front page of niccx.com and haven't got an reply.

As a matter of fact, Nic.cx is handing its domain registration/DNS services over to a new company.... E-mails were sent back approx. in March about this and as a result I don't think everyone knows about it.

If I can find the ******* e-mail inside my huge Outlook archives I'll post it here.....

niccx.com is being redirected to nic.cx and below is what I got.

Planet Three (NICCX.COM) is insolvent and as a result both registrar and registry services have been affected. Dot CX is continuing to send urgent requests to the IANA in the hope that they will act in the interest of both the Christmas Island and global internet community in this matter. We are also providing technical and financial assistance in order to get domains which utilised NICCX.COM's URL or eMAIL forwarding functioning again. The former PL3 registrant information is being escrowed by Dot CX. We thank you for your patience, more information will be published here shortly.

I have a popular forum with the .cx domain. I don't know what the above message means. Hope it will not interfere the dns settings.

Just an fyi.
