riiight, once they know your a salesman they won't use your refferal code. Its better off having the sales man contact you through aim saying such and such like John from abc ventures online wishes to host his site www.abcventures.com then you'd mark it as that he had sold it and you being the admin would take the sale from there.. crediting the sales man..

so, would you give your salesman a desk, phone, and computer? Or would this be a home-based job. If so, would you pay for cell phone, long distance charges, and internet access charges?

He wants someone who has everything needed to talk with customers and sell his product. I do agree on the say this person is ordering... and if they order you give him the credit for it. Referral #'s won't work well.

A simple domain name from the sales person telling me they signed them up would work also, I might check with the client to make sure.

And you hilarious on the phone part, you don't need a cell phone, or features like that to sell a product.... its called internet, its all you need, if you want to make more sales and think that will do it for you then go ahead. The refferal is high enough of a payment, especially if your selling a 6.99 a month account.

Chris, one more thing you can offer to increase your sale. Offer $10 off to clients who signed within certain time. I know you will loose $10 from your regular clients but this may increase your sales and more clients you have more chances of getting referrals.
