I downgrade MySQL vers. From 4 to 3.2.. (Updating CPanel upgraded MySQL from 3.2.. -> 4...)
And now apache starts !!

Incredible!

Cpanel staff should tell us what going on when update to latest vers. And they should also tell that we need going to "tweak settings" and set the versione of MySQL we like to use on server to prevent this type of problems...
Is seems no MYSQL versione is set afhter Upgrade of CPanel!!

The actual problem is that you haven't got the PHP libraries for MySQL4 interaction installed.

I didn't get the same issue in our server upgrades to the latest version. You could probably have fixed it with an apache recompile.

Winkie-- ok but ugrading CPanel should install (or at least tell you to install) this libraries...
I get crassssy to finde out what was the problem and why Apache not restart!!
