I am trying to use mrtg to see how much two of my cpanel server are using in bandwidth. When I try to start snmpd I get this error "init_master_agent: Invalid local port (Address already in use)" I have posted in VDI's forums and also called them to no avail.
Any ideas I need this to work also is anyone running smpd with burst nets version we are thinking of moving to burstnet's version any advice or comments.

It sounds like snmpd is already running...that's usually the case when it can't bind to a speciifc port or address.

Yeah I ckeched that it doesn't seem to be running that I can tell. I ckecked with ps -aux and it doesn't show up. I am at a loss as to what is going on with it.

Just in case anyone is wondering. VdI's version of cpanel runs protsentry once I told portsentry to leave port 161 alone everything was fine.
