I've decided it's time for a new design for my site Apexware.com. I'd like it to be a significant upgrade to what I have now. Flash header, possibly with an intro and music, but only if the user clicks to have the intro with music played. But not automatically with the page loading. I like my current color scheme of blue, orange, and green, but would be open to something different if the name Apexware inspired something else. Also want the site and logo to be inspired from and fit with the word 'apex' which means 'at the top' if that makes sense. I want something creative and original from someone thinking 'outside the box' if you will. Some site designs I like are hostnexus.com, vortechhosting.com, rsmhost.com, eyow.com. But like I said, I want something original.
Some things I’d like on the main page: latest news area, like what I have on my site now(not necessarily in the same spot), a domain availability/order field, some kind of noticeabile order button reminiscent of the one you see at eyow.com or hostrocket.com, whatever fits. A specials block, similar to what is on the current site. Intro area similar to what is under ‘welcome to apexware’ on the current site. Maybe something that says ‘why choose Apexware?’ and that could either just be a link, or a few reasons listed. Maybe an area that lists the available services on the main page, like at hostrocket.com in the middle of their page, but mine would just include shared, reseller, and domain registration. Might get too cluttered to have all of that on there, just see what you can do and what works best.
Design must load quickly and be cross-browser friendly etc.
Budget- $200-$400 range. I realize that isn't a lot for what I'm asking. But I've already been looking around, and there are some who do good work in that price range.
I'm not looking just for links to portfolios but would like to be shown mockup designs based on what I asked above along with quotes. I'd like to have a new design up and running around the first of June. Anyone up for the challenge? :cool:
