I've been with Dialtone Internet, located FL, for over a year and so far they weren't hit by a hurricane. :D

Yes, they do have a point. I'm considering signing up for a dedicated server in a "hurricane zone" so I can get that discount when the next named hurricane rolls around. :)

Not to go too off topic here, but who saw Traffic? How about the hurricane joke:

Why are hurricanes like woman?
...
When they come in, they are wet and wild, but when they leave, they take your house and car. :)

Our data center is located here in South Florida. Definitely a hurricane zone. In the last 3 years, we've had a couple of storms, but none of them have resulted in any downtime.

The whole hurricane thing is hype, really. I can't imagine what it would take to knock our datacenter offline.

i think its funny they put ***** on there. It is located in Dallas, about 600 miles from the coast, I am about 200 miles south of Dallas; there has never been a hurricane that penetrated any more than about 200 miles off the coast (thats being generous) that has done any damage. Winchester, VA is as close to the hurricane in that picture than Dallas and gets more hurricanes. This baffles me  Oh well, I guess everyone in the nation can cash in on this offer if they consider dallas being in a hurricane zone.
