View Full Version : Need my deleted mail

I have a hosting client who was not receiving his forwarded mail. The mail was in his INBOX on the server (Red Hat Linux, Apache, using CPANEL) so I moved the mail from INBOX to INBOX. Well, all that did was delete everything - not in TRASH, not in SENT-MAIL, not delivered to his forwarding address.

How can this mail be retreived? My server administrator says there's a lot of brains in this forum. He really had no clue how to solve my problem.

Anybody out there who can help?

Thanks,
Mike C.

How did you did the move? Generally if in linux, you delete information, it's very hard to recover. They don't work like windows partitions where you can just run an undelete command.

I was using NeoMail and selected all messages then moved them to INBOX thinking that they'd just appear as new and be forwarded. That never happened and nobody knows where they went . . .
