I need a host to backup a webhosting deal that is discounted for a "roman webmaster", ie, I want toadvertise speciality hosting on my site (still in growth stage) for a discount. Read "discount" in any contractual term u like.
I originally touted hosting to a few site owners and got positive feedback but I am unable to implement plans I previously had in mind.
Iwould like to refer people to a deal, have them either return or return at end of signup process.
The site is in its infancy but in a somewhat specialised area, in that most of these webmasters publish online thru cost as much as site. (There are some 200 - 500 links yet to add)
I would like to offer a deal because I know most of them use free or otherwise poor hosting methods to get online and some have already expressed interest in a hosting deal.
I no longer cannot offer them this in relation to my original idea but I would like to offer a permanent solution (any deal made would invole referrer system) which would not be subject to change. Promise.
Mabye get no signups, mabye get some, I dont know, with such a specialised crowd I find it hard even to get an idea of visitor behaviour!
Anyone forthcoming?

can you explain this please as I'm not quite sure of what you mean...
We offer a referral service that pays £50 GBP per referred signup, which after 15 referrals is increased to £100. If this is of interest, or indeed what you are asking, then email with the email button below. You may want to take a look at our site as well...
Best regards,
Jo

That's a BIG referral payout.
Edit: Oops, didn't realize service was a larger one time fee, over the monthly charges.

What would the total initial costs for this be to me? Could I put all the specs etc. on my site, refer someone wanting to signup, and have them returned afterwards mabye?
Long term what will your required price to the customer be for a package (not taking account of specials, etc)?

There's no initial start up fee to become a referrer - that's completely free. It may also be possible to have them come back to your site at the end of the signup but I would have to talk to the design department to see about the technicalities of this. Shouldn't be a problem though... The normal price is a £300 one time fee to the client, but is on a special discount for a few months to £199.95.
All the best,
Jo :D

I suppose it's just the end part that is a sticker. Having them return to your site after signup. It's not too difficult I suppose but would take some setting up.
Have you seen our referral system? It's a two tier 10% and 5% recurring monthly payout. For the referral end it's up and running - all you need to do is add a banner or link to the site (provided). You even get a control panel with statistical graphs :D
As I say getting them back to your site afterwards would be the problem. As the system is designed to send them to the general index page they're left to check out the site rather than be fed through a tube to the order form. That's where getting our own referals back to your own site would fall apart (as I see it)
If it wasn't too important to have them return you could probably sign up for quite a few hosting companies referral plans and list them like a resource site - something to consider maybe?

I spoke to the design dept. and they can make a clone of the signup form which would link to our signup cgi. This could have your referrer number built in as a hidden field so that the script would identify the referral as coming from you. You would be able to customise the form to suit your design but we would still need to be identified as the host on the form and could not be put completely in the background. You'd get commision, but at the end of the day the client would remain ours.
You could set the form to redirect to any page you want on your server from that point onwards. :D
All the best,
Jo
