Hi folk ;)

* Which email client do you use in Windows operating system?

* Why did you prefer this and what do you like about it?

* In what way do you backup your email data?

* Do you use BCC method when you send emails more than 1 person or what produt do you use for multi send?

PocoMail

Its quick, feature packed, and easy to use.

Burn a zipped up copy of my mail folder onto a CD.

I don't use bcc or any type of method like that, as I rarely or never reply to more then one person.

i use eudora, it's great, the free version has an ad, small 200x200 or something, not bad

All you have to do to backup your emails is copy the email box from the main eudora directory and back it up somewhere

Currently:

Microsoft Outlook

I only prefer it because of the integration it has with PDA, the built in PIM, etc. The interface is quite nice and it has excellent multi-account capabilities.

For multi-send I use Arrow Mailing List server or Majordomo. Occasionally I'll use BCC if it's just going to a few people.

Mail is backed up onto the main file server regularly.

I was using Lotus Notes for about 2 years, but as the email volume built up it became significantly slower - and the multi-account capabilities sucked.

Mozilla's mail client, easy to view and check multiple boxes as multiple people.

Pocomail regularly crashed for me (registed version) and simply could not handle the large file downloads that are required for more work. Also it could not handle mail with faulty headers causing it to crash to desktop.

Eudora pro for me. Has a downloadable add-on you can use to back up everything as often as you want, another downnload that can strip html or >> quote attributes, great filtering, safe (with proper setup) from nasties and fast. I find is that it loads whatever mailboxes you leave open into memory. This can slow it down if you keep lots of mail in one box and leave that open.
Downside?
Mood watch. Gad that's dumb.

I'm actually looking for a new mail client at the moment.

I use Mozilla Mail at the moment and it has been great but it seriously does slow down after you hit 1Gb+ of messages.

I'd also like something that sets the 'From:' header of a reply to the 'To:' header of the original message. This is something that would be nice but I doubt I'll find it in any client :(

I'm looking at Eudora (Windows) and MS Entourage (Mac OS X)... any other suggestions?

hmmmmmm..

Hmmm,

At the moment I use Microsoft Outlook XP…

It has great multi account, when I receive email the data store in d:\email\ ;)

At the moment I am having problem using BCC method. When I send an email to someone using BCC method and when user received my email, his/her header show something like “To: name@mydomain.com” and “From: name@mydomain.com” why both FROM and TO is the same address? Does it happen to you?

Another question I like to ask you..

How do I separate a account folder for each account?
For example, “inbox 1” folder is for first email account, “inbox 2” folder is for second email account…

------------------------------------------
Account 1 (blah1@blah1.com)
Inbox
Outbox
Delete
Other

Account 2 (blah2@blah2.com)
Inbox
Outbox
Delete
Other
------------------------------------------

Do you understand my point? :)
