Where can I find out which domain extensions are the most popular? For example, sales chart info on tlds selling the most.

I would say .com .net .org .info .biz are all popular extensions :D

.com is the best to buy/sell. People want .com in general. You can modify you market depending on your geographical location though. net would probably come next, and then org. most of the others are not worth much unless you have a VERY good term. .info and .biz are new, but they are not as recognized yet. You can always speculate....

I agree with you.

The issue of remembering domain name by clients are always underestimated by registerers when they buy their names. Not having the .com is one more thing customers will have to remember. Besides, this signals customers that you could not afford the .com name. If your business grows, you may find yourself buying the .com name at an expensive price, as Gateway did.

I agree with the post about .com/.net/ .XX (country extension) I have seen numerous people looking for .us on another board.
