Like the topic says how much does 1 gig bandwith ussually cost?

Goodness $10 per gig is crazy. We charge $1 per gig over but from looking at others most charge $2.

It would depend on how much you get charged for overages. I get charged $1 per gig so I charge my clients the same.

If it is during the month and they plan on using more, we offer them to prepay for additional bandwidth at $1/GB, but they must buy more than just what they used. Otherwise it is $2/GB to 100/GB then it goes to $3/GB.

It really is just to cover our own costs. At under 100, they are probably not breaking our servers bank since barely oversell the server. But once they get near breaking the bank, they need to cover our overage and our time.

Varies widely but the average seems to be between 2 and 5 dollars. I have seen it as high as $20.

Personally I think highly inflated overage fees are set there to discourage customers from going over. Probably works too.
