Yes, i've searched the forum for this answer however it's been 1 month since a poll like this has gone up.

Which in your humblest opinion is the better billing/automation system.

ModernBill or HostAdmin

Please give experiences as well about these products and their support.

Thanks

I have only been using it for 3 days now, and technically I think it is just as good as any of the others out there. I have tried 3 others, 'PHPManager, PerlBill, and ModernBill', PHPManager is lacking and not in any way in the same class as PerlBill, ModernBill or HostAdmin.

ModernBill and PerlBill I think had everything I wanted, and I did really like them, however the one thing I found very frustrating and lacking is with support. Despite their good efforts, I think in terms of support they have bitten off more then they can chew. John with PerlBill was helpful in the beginning for me, but unfortunately he went out of town for about 3 days when I needed him the most, so I kinda passed on PerlBill. ModernBill, all I can say is support was VERY slow. Seems like 24 hours if not more is the avg. response time for them which is too much for me. Nothing against the applications themselves, lots of people swear by them.

HostAdmin on the other hand had everything I wanted, and was simple for me. I just felt easily comfortable with it. Best of all, was support. I cannot say enough good things about the support I have gotten from Tony and HostAdmin. My experience with support from them has been exceptional. The program was the easiest of all I have installed, simple to configure and customize, had it all up in no time flat.

That is my long drawn out personal experience with all of them. Hope it helps someone find their best solution and fit.

We use ModernBill and yes it is confusing and can make you break down during the setup process but all in all it is a good piece of software and is very useful, just make sure you try it out first before buying.

We use ModernBill which is very good, except for a few minor bugs here and there and also the fact that at present it doesn't support multi-currency which we could really benefit from, but it does work well after getting used to were things are and of course, they are always adding more to it.

Support is a bit slow, but I have had much worse from cpanel and others.

I have also seen http://www.whmautopilot.com/autopilot.php which if you are using cpanel, might be the way to go as it has been solely designed around cpanel/whm and so gives some better features and support.
