Rumor has it that Alabanza is planing on closing the OH support center. They are planning on offering jobs in their HQ in Baltimore for a few of the OH techs, and letting the rest go. Is support so good that they can survive with less than 1/4 of their techs?

I wonder if they plan to bring a few techs from OH to train hostingventures techs to do Alabanza support?

If it is true, it is horrible news, as their support now is marginal at best. How did you hear about this rumor?:)

If it is true, it is horrible news, as their support now is marginal at best. Or maybe it's good news. If management of the support center is a part of the problem, it could be helpful to get that part of the company located in the same place as the rest of it, and allow closer scrutiny of the support operation by upper managment.

And offering relocated positions to only some of the Ohio staff -- if that's what happens -- wouldn't necessarily mean that they aren't going to have as many people in Baltimore as they now do in Ohio. Maybe those people not being offered new positions have been identified as not pulling their weight, and contributing to the problems in the support department.
