View Full Version : I have CPanel access but no ftp

Hi,
I am a new reseller. I am having a problem with the 5 accounts that I own that are additional to the original account I set up with my provider. The story is long but I'll make it short. For the past two weeks I've been having trouble accessing the CPanels of the 6 accounts I own. When I put in a helpdesk ticket this time, My provider had fixed access to my main account...ozonehost.com but now I don't have access to any of the other ftp accounts. I can access ozonehost.com WHM, CPanel & ftp but the other 5 accounts I can only access CPanel NO ftp...My usernames and passwords that I created work fine for CPanel access but ws_ftp pro states: "Login Incorrect" and won't let me upload to those accounts...I'm lost

can anyone help?

Sounds like you need to ask your host to sync ftp passwords. :)

how did you user your ftp? the format will play a big role. Usually, ftp access for reseller in the format of:

ip: ftp.domain.com
username: user_name@domain.com

Did you use that same format? or try to use a different FTP ultility such as smartftp or flashfxp

Might check to make sure it didn't just create mail accounts and not the FTP.

In WHM I created a username and password for each account when I created the accounts. Like User: bob Pswd: ghij123
When I create an upload scenario in ws_ftp pro, I put the ip or domain.com in the Domain field, bob in the username field and ghij123 in the password field...This has always worked before...why not now?

No mail accounts exist for any of the accounts yet..

try the format that i told you. It should work

ip: ftp.domain.com
username: bob@domain.com
pw: ghij123


If still not work, open a support with your host and wait for their respond.

I tried your suggestion, but no luck...I have an open ticket pending at my providers web site but haven't received an answer yet. Thanks for your help!
