Im planning on making a newsfeed like moreover.com but only for a specific category.

I plan on linking to articles on other websites which are offered to the general public anyway.

The format that i will show it in will be
_______
a new article - 10/10/03 - www.thissite.com
another article - 09/10/03 - www.thatsite.com

powered by mynewsfeed
_______

much like moreover.com did before they stopped giving it to the normal public. the newsfeed will be distributed using a javascript snippet.

my question is > do i need to ask for permission before i link to the articles?

the articles that i link to are open to the public anyway,
plus i am not opening the links in a frame or claiming them to be mine as they are links to the original article. and i am not charging or generating any revenue out of the newsfeed.

please reply with any input that you might have.

Chances are you are fine doing what you suggest. If some one contacts you asking to remove the link then of course you comply but most sites I have seen do this. Almost all sites I know would not turn down traffic to content.

wait, so in ur opinion its ok to put the links on the newsfeed without permission right?

i hope there cant be any legal complications in doing this? worst comes to worst, i will get someone asking me not to link to it.. right? i just need some assurance before I start this.
