Just a general question based on something i have been noticing.... I have been running my hosting business for about 18 months now and am noticing that a lot of my customers seem to want a second account this year or at least want to upgrade their account.
What percentage of your customers would you say contact you for more accounts?

I'd say roughly 3-5% of the current clients. They usually upgrade from shared to reseller. They use reseller account to host their own domain names.
I've sort of wondering as well. Surprisingly, those additional domain names are not new-registered domain names. That tells me that they do have several hosts and decide to move them to one place when they feel comfortable. But this sort of upgrade does not come within the first 4 or 6 months.

Have customers that open an account and normally upgrade, many designers also open accounts for there clients. Some clients have 8 or more accounts.

Atleast 10-15% even though we also do reseller accounts. Happy customers keep buying.

Yes, we have several customers who keep on purchasing individual retail hosting plans, even though going with a reseller plan would be cheaper. Even when we tell them this, they still want to stick with the more expensive plan.

60% 0f our clients have a second plan 22% have more than 2 plans.
Although we do offer a free domain with each account so this is probably the incentive to purchase more plans.

I'd say about 35 - 40% of our customers have a second account.
