Hi there, my ikonboard forums are getting spammed like crazy.

Speciffically, Ikonboard 3.0.1.

They manage to create thread after thread, and somehow they manage to bypass my time post limit. I was wondering how they do it, and what I can do to stop it. If it's a .exe file, could someone post a link to an old one? I want to see how it works with older boards, so this way I can create a anti spam bot hack :bawling: :bawling: :bawling:

Take down the board, check the logs for the ips that's spamming you, block those ips using mod_rewrite, .htaccess, or perhaps at the firewall with help from your host.

That may stifle them a bit. If need to, block his whole ISP for the moment if he happens to have a dynamic ip.

If he is using hacked boxes, you just got to keep on top of it

In the worst case, change to another forum software.
