Thanks nameslave 05-06-2003, 11:56 AM LOL! It doesn't really matter whether your price is $6.01 or $7.99. Some people sell VERY WELL at $13.50. dmaven 05-06-2003, 12:11 PM I agree with nameslave, there are registrars like directnic that have over 750,000 domains under register and charge 15.00. Price is not everything pang 05-06-2003, 12:13 PM I agree most people won't care few dollars (or few cents) per year. So, I suggest you to focus on your customer service or partner with web host if you want to sell more. Xemion 05-06-2003, 12:31 PM Marketing is the key. Simply reach more target customers than everyone else, gain a good reputation and your price is pretty irrelevant. simposoner 05-06-2003, 01:00 PM so there is no difference whether or not you got an $6.95 or $8.95 reseller account. Xemion 05-06-2003, 01:03 PM No, that would be a big difference :-) 750,000 x $2....that's a a $1.5 million difference at the same time, you could start with the $8.95 account and when you have enough momentum to support the down payment on the $6.95 account, then do so. nameslave 05-06-2003, 01:42 PM Originally posted by simposoner so there is no difference whether or not you got an $6.95 or $8.95 reseller account. Originally posted by Xemion No, that would be a big difference :-) 750,000 x $2....that's a a $1.5 million difference ... Yes, but it takes ALL eNom resellers (including big guys like RegisterFly, PowerPipe, NameCheap, etc.) to get to 1,519,951 ****** registrations (as of Q4 2002). I guess most smal-time resellers could barely get 0.1% out of that. Anyone? Xemion 05-06-2003, 01:54 PM I would guess that they get a much more sizable percentage than 0.1%...look at the numbers RegisterFly releases, I don't think PowerPipe is as big as RegisterFly or NameCheap and I can't comment on NameCheap's numbers....but my guess is that it's a lot less than 1.5 million between those three. I think there a number of other mid level resellers that get a big piece of the pie. simposoner 05-06-2003, 02:04 PM Wow! :o |
