Can somebody explain me what are:
Sub-Domains,
Domain Pointers and Parked Domains


I tried to find some simple information about that on internet but the explanation was not very clear to me.
Please help me out.

domian.com points to domain2.com

domain is not active just waiting for developement & usually pointed to an under construction page.
