b) views on using godaddy -i don't want to be spammed as i have read on another forum

c) suggest any other company that allows private registration?

suggest any other company that allows private registration? You can get the same Domains by Proxy service from any WWD reseller (this is GoDaddy's reseller program) ... here (http://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Asecureserver.net+eyes) are several of them. I think there is at least one other "proxy" registration service that competes with Domains by Proxy, but I don't know the name offhand and I'm not sure I would want to trust a service that isn't as widely known as DbP. For under $50/year you can rent a PO box -- that might give you all the privacy you need (and might be more reliable than DbP).

Domains By Proxy has been quite reliable for me. I have been trying them out for a couple months now, no problems at all :)
