portal 05-05-2003, 07:26 PM
Toeki 05-05-2003, 09:02 PM i5.net is asking for $1500 so I think h8.net
would be around that. |

Acroplex 05-06-2003, 01:06 AM h8 also spells as "hate" - a plus.
The price quoted above is end-user/retail and it's in the upper range.
You can find a buyer almost immediately for $1k to $1,200 |
lotsofissues 05-06-2003, 01:14 AM $400 Not just something I typed--a well supported number.
__6U.net $370.00 <--- Recorded afternic sell.
My friend has been trying to unload 7i.net for anything over $350. |
Acroplex 05-06-2003, 01:17 AM letter-number are definitely worth much more than number-letter. |
JonathanVH 05-06-2003, 01:47 AM lotsofissues: The domain h8.net actually sounds like "hate.net", where as 7i.net does not have a specific "off the tongue" meaning. I would stand with timechange on this one, seeing as he has sold many domains already, giving him an edge :). |
lotsofissues 05-06-2003, 01:59 AM I'm not certain "off the tongue" quality contributes to the value of the domain.
I didn't notice the h8=hate detail, but I would think of myself like any other casual browser, who wouldn't notice either. In my opinion, as an abstract representation of hate, this domain has no more value. |
Acroplex 05-06-2003, 02:02 AM It's simple - even without the h8/hate connotations - letter/number sounds easier to say or view than number/letter.
It definitely affects the value of the domain for practical reasons. |
lotsofissues 05-06-2003, 02:03 AM I have confidence in your view, but---- 1k-1.2k? And easily? |
Acroplex 05-06-2003, 02:05 AM For letter-number .net? yes. Ask for $1.5k though and you won't find a buyer that easily.
I would advise you to hold onto h8.net for later on. |
kohashi 05-06-2003, 06:15 AM I dont think this domain is worth 1500$. hate connotation is practically worthless as nobody is going to think about that. I think its worth <1000$. You can always hold out as long as you would like waiting for that dream offering. But I personally would not be holding my breathe. |
plugged 05-06-2003, 08:30 AM I thought of "hate" when i saw "h8.net". :/ |

I definitely agree! :D But have you noticed that h8.net is a little bit to pronounce? I think you can keep it and try to sell to chinese later, as the number 8 means "Be rich" to them :) |
Daniel141 05-06-2003, 02:19 PM Try selling it on eBay, if you play it right, you can make a lot of money! |

So actually:
h8 = "Hey, Be Rich". :) |
mcdesign 05-06-2003, 06:20 PM Atleast $1000, I'd say more like $1500-$2000 though, nice 2 letter .net with letter-number and it actually DOES sound like something. I'd say probably $2000 if you do it right. One of the best 2 letter I can think of. Good Luck :) |
portal 05-07-2003, 12:08 AM Thanks for all the replies :) |
portal 05-07-2003, 12:09 AM by the way this domain can also say "height" cause of H and 8 is spelled eight put em together and you get height :) |
When I saw h8.net, I thought of hate right away, probably cause I read a book on license plate abbreviations. Anyway if it was a dot com, I think you would get $5000 easily, personally I'm not a big fan of .net or other extensions in terms of having tons of value. I would guess its worth $800, put it on eBay with a reserve, maybe 2 or 3 people will love the domain name and you could a $1,000+ |
Acroplex 05-07-2003, 01:39 AM .net is the most underpreciated TLD of the 3 original ones. |
kohashi 05-07-2003, 11:34 AM two letter .com would pull you in five figures easily, no matter what the characters were. |
Acroplex 05-07-2003, 11:45 AM 2-letter .com goes for $15k minimum, FYI. |
lotsofissues 05-07-2003, 08:58 PM Adam bought one containing an undesirable letter for 10k.
I remember elequa buying serveral for 7k-8k? |
nleavens 05-07-2003, 10:53 PM I'd say $1700-$2300 range.
And I saw it as "hate".net |
elequa 05-23-2003, 03:29 PM h8.net isnt really worth more more than $700 and thats only my opinion. But I personally wouldnt buy it ... as it is confusing. |

elequa, wow, you own i.net. its fantastic domain. :) |
Adonis 05-23-2003, 07:17 PM i.net? I'm surprised that its not on the icann reserve list, but actually works. |
panopticon 05-25-2003, 05:20 AM Wow - that is fantastic. I wonder what the value of i.net is - $100,000 ? Or more? |
Knogle 05-25-2003, 06:45 AM $100k? Nope, don't think it'd be that high.
But yeah, definitely worth a lot. :D |
