The prices are in canadian $$ Netivex 05-05-2003, 12:11 PM That seems to be very overpriced... there are many other places in Canada who could probably undercut that price by $800+ sasha 05-05-2003, 12:36 PM Cool, please help me and name couple places. Saipix 05-05-2003, 02:07 PM Try http://www.atic.ca. The site maybe a bit slow to load. Actually the canadian dollar is up to about 67 cent american, and climbing sasha 05-06-2003, 11:14 AM Thanks everyone. I finished by ordering from Dell.ca . The neat thing is that when I called they throw in some discounts, and extras, so I am getting really nice package for 2k canadian. MikeM 05-06-2003, 04:13 PM Sasha What're ya doing with your old system??? El Nino 05-06-2003, 04:28 PM You priced out a Dell Precision which is why it costs so much. Look at a Dell Demension instead. sasha 05-06-2003, 07:45 PM Originally posted by MikeM Sasha What're ya doing with your old system??? Nothing wrond with the old system. It is staying what is now, development server, it will just will not be used as workstation any more. Originally posted by MikeM You priced out a Dell Precision which is why it costs so much. Look at a Dell Demension instead. I went with Dell Demension 8300. The reason I was looking at Precision is that you do not have to buy windows if you go with it, and with Dimension you are forced to give money to MS even if you do not use windows. Anyway this is the configuration: http://tnt.goldnet.ca/argh/config1.html , and I should not have problems running linux there. The price ($2000CDN) is very reasonable, and because they do bussiness leese thing, I can write off all thing as operating expense.
