i am trying to connect my computer to iunternet so i can access it from other places. I try using http server software which says all i need is static ip address(which i do) and i be able to access things on my computer. So i type
http://4.39.123.45
assuyim,g 4.35.123.45 is my ip address and it shows the index page (when server software is running). It also works with my other computer in my network, it can easily fimnd the computer. But when i goto computer not on my network but connected to inetrnet like from university and type in
http://4.39.123.45
it can neevr find my computer on the intrenet!!! i use diffrent software like theserver, sedum, zbspro (u can find all these simple software at www.adnet.com) and have same results. it find my computer on intranet and not internet. i dunno what to do help!!!

WHT shows your IP address as: 4.35.129.180

you should try Apache or there's this one called Xitami web server...

it sound like you have many computers and I'm guessing the computer you're running the web server application on is not directly connected to the Internet. If this is the case, then you need to configure the gateway computer to forward all packages on port 80 to the computer with the webserver application.

no i try one computer using the dial up too and try to set server on that..same results..do i have to register my ip thry solution like register.com???
