my site is currently in html and I have no experience with php do you think it would be hard and how long do you think it would take to learn ?

Nah, prolly just a few hours and you can have your site up and running with a CMS

If it's a proper CMS then you won't need any PHP knowledge to set it up :)

I'm assuming its as hard as setting up a message board. You should be in good shape. Hopefully your current host gives you access to set up a MySQL database via your control panel.

Well, if you are looking at learning php and coding from scratch, it's going to take a while, unless you have good IT background. Then I would say it takes maybe 2 weeks to get into it with a bit more than superficial depth.

However to install a premade system and get it up and running take a lot less and a short while is all it takes. But of course customising it to your look and feel is going to be a different ball game. To do that, you either need templates, or.... you guess it... you got to learn some php to mess with it.
