My site has about 1000-2000 unique hits daily.. and right now I'm not earning any money on my site (I also run a vB forum which is also very popular) .. my site deals with Hong Kong movie action, more spesifically, Jackie Chan.

What kind is sponsor would you suggest? I have absolutely no idea whatsoever about this kind of stuff.. if I get a good sponsor I could also afford great hosting..

I was thinking more along the line of banners or direct sponsors (donations etc).. I dont want to make users pay to see the site..

No, I haven't. as I said - I dont have any ideas on how to do this since I've never done this before. Are they any good?

I don't want any click-through banners.. since I've heard you never make any money on those.. (like CJ.com etc)
