it's possible that someone :stickout clicked several times on a certain ad without closing the page...

For the amount of money they are getting they should have thought of IP blocking :)

(not counting the same IP more the once a day).

that's what we're doing anyway.. we also have a full log of IPs, to check it at the end of the campaign.

:)

Good luck

No. I've been in contact with them and their stats were definitely broke. Supposedly, they are fixing the situation now. However, this brings up a serious point about how accurate things like this are reported.

Basically, we're always at the mercy of the company we're advertising with to accurately report click throughs and impressions.

Well, you could always give them a different URL and track the stats from your end.

yourhostingcompany.com/hostsearch.html

or include a blank 1x1 image... in the title and track it from your end.

anyways, hope everything works ok with hostsearch.com heard that their results are very good.

Cheers

logus, you know that this is not in the advertising forum right? It's bad you're putting them down to make yourself look better.

ok, I said that I heard about Hostsearch, and that they have great results of advertising, and I only suggested a feature. and I don't think it hurt Hostsearch, or affordable search.

anyways, best of luck.

MOD EDIT:

Why don't you read the rules and follow it before telling someone to mind their own business.

if you'd like a skyscraper ad or something like that, let me know As another wise man once said;

If it looks like advertising,
smells like advertising
and tastes like advertising
it must be advertising!

Please don't take offense but this is what I was trying to tell you in that other message you posted a while back. :)

We actually setup a doorway page from HostSearch and found that we were getting way less click throughs than was stated in our account information on thier website.

I actually emailed HostSearch regarding this and they said that they were working on a solution. In the meantime I burned $100 on bogus impressions within a couple of days. :bawling:

maybe you should ask for a free amount of impressions or something?

This kind of bidding system is lame.

As a webhost , i will definitely find this search site suck like hell. They only know how to suck money from us. Advertising is that bad and now come with this yucky bidding system to suck more money.
