Most people agree that when writing copy for a web page, we should keep keywords in mind. Infoseek used to have a special page where you could type in a keyword and see how many searches were made for that word within the last month.

What I liked about that page was that it showed you not only the word that you typed in but related words that people seach on. I found this very useful when trying to make up lists of keywords to include in my copy. When trying to think up keywords, many times people are searching on words different than what we think they are.

I recently tried to find that page again but couldn't. I wonder if anyone knows its url or of any other websites that will give you similar results.

Try this at GoTo:

https://www.goto.com/s/dtc/signup/

At the top right under "tools" you'll see the "Search Term Suggestion Tool."

The one at http://www.searchengineworld.com is not as biased as goto`s I think.

Well, one suggestion from me is to install bearshare (bearshare.com).
You can see the requests people do fly by and is very usefull ;-)

Another suggestion is to have a look at KEYWORD LIVE from analogx (http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/network/keyword.htm)...

Your welcome.

LATE EDIT, maybe you weren't looking for what I have posted but it might get handy

Thanks everyone, this information was very helpful.

I tried a search on "japanese" on the Go To search term thing and find that "japanese bondage" outranks "japanese art." Gee, I must be in the wrong business!

Cheers!
