We've recently received this new hosting order, with payment made via PayPal. Initially, the account was setup instantly. However, when reviewing the order, I found a few strange things:

1) The address he entered is a country not supported by PayPal. Strange. His IP matches his country, however.

2) The site he is attempting to host is apparently a casino site.

3) Since this was a referred sale from FindMyHosting, when reviewing the customer behaviour log, I found that he checked out three hosts at the same time (us being one of them), and purchased from all three - without checking things like uptime, host details, etc, etc.

I don't know what to think. Any possibility of a scam here?

Thanks.

I would be concerned about payment from a country paypal does not support. He could be using someone else's account or using his own account against thier terms. To much chance of paypal wanting the money back or freezing the account.

it does sound a bit odd, do you allow casino sites normally?
if you do, i'd probably let it go for a bit, but keep a close eye on the account.

Since I don't allow any sites that cannot be viewen by someone younger than 18 years old of age legally or without parent permission, I don't accept, but refer them to another host. If you don't like the idea that it's a casino site and gambling could happen a lot of your server, I wouldn't accept them. But it's your choice.
