Hey,
What uptime monitoring software do you dedicated hosts use? Does it intergrate with your helpdesk etc..? I am also interested in other tools that you use to help you out in serving your customer better.
Thanks,
PS this is for dedicated hosts 100+servers.
Thanks again

Depends what you want to monitor. Alertra has a pretty good product that people either love or hate...I've never used it so I couldn't really tell you much about it.
Other things like ServersAlive or KS Host Monitor are also good products if you have a dedicated connection to the Internet through broadband or something.
A datacenter I work with monitors every port on every switch using SNMP..if the traffic grinds to a halt on a port you can be pretty sure something is wrong.

Take a look at http://www.demarc.com/ or http://nagios.org

ok awesome thanks, alertra isn't really ideal because I am talking about monitoring ALL ports on a ton of servers, this would be very costly. I would also like to intergrate it into the members section in which we will be able to provide realtime stats, as well as up time percentages etc..

Alertra will cost an arm and a leg at 100+ servers

If you're on a private network in a datacenter (colo or have a special deal with the DC), you may want to consider something like http://www.etinc.com/
They have the worst tech support in the world but their product rocks and you probably won't need the support. Problem is, to integrate it into your network introduces a single point of failure should the monitoring server crash so I guess it depends on your tolerance...
