My site is http://232.netfirms.com . It is currently hosted by netfirms, inc. Their Free service is ok (for a free service) but their pay service upgrade SUX! I want to better my site, and will need a new host. These are the specs I am thinking my site, once updated, will need:

3 GB monthly Transfer
100 Mb Of storage Space
3 email mailing lists
Cgi Support
Preferablly Formail support (but I can do without)
1 FTP Login
Control panel
My own Subdomain OR .com Address
(Example "http://232.netfirms.com")
Not a folder of the main domain
(Ex. "http://www.netfirms.com/~232/")
Cheap Expansions (IE: $1 each month for an
extra gig of bandwith)

If you can think of, or better yet own a service that can provide these services for under $50 a year, that is what I am looking for.

Speakerguy,

This seems like a pretty standard hosting package, and most hosts on this board should be able to meet these needs. The main task you have now wouls be to research the hosts on this board and find out about their customer service, reliability, uptime, etc.

You can find a list of nearly every host on these boards at the following URL:

You might try using the "search" feature after you have found a couple hosts that you may be interested in.

Hope that helps.

Please tell us when you'll find such cheap bandwidth for virtual hosting.
By the way, will you register a new domain name, or will host as with netfirms as subdomain?
