They both look identical...both offer the same plan except CrystalTech offer more bandswidth. Who is better?

I think that crystaltech offer Windows based hosting.
and Hosturbo offer Linux based hosting.
That is a difference that you have to evaluate.

I think you are right. I've never heard of CrystalTech, and I've heard plenty about Hosturbo, but yes, the two sites are more similar than I first thought. On the Shared Hosting section of both sites, the layout is almost exact, and the code is almost exact as well. Even the image names for the little arrows, the blank image and spacing, and the class name of "main" are all the same. As well as the unmistakable Plan images.

I have known about Crystaltech for about 2 years now. Everyone I have talked to loves them. As for the other one it is located in India. I believe they copied Crystaltech:confused:( I am not pointing any fingers) but I know Crystaltech revamped their site about 6 months ago.

Hmmmmm, CrystalTech looks more to me like the original design :blush:

I saw the Hosturbo.com site recently and wondered where I saw those images on the right side with plan details. Now I realise they are same as in crystaltech.com

Hosturbo.com seems to be hosting with burst.net. Wonder where crystaltech do ...

Maybe HOSTurbo is a reseller of CrystalTech? Hm, maybe the rest of the design is copied from somewhere too. That would be sad :(

Maybe that's the reason I asked them to add the "per month" to the image but they didn't. Since crystaltech doesn't have the images to copy.

yes hosturbo guys have changed their site...the new layout looks much better than the previous one .... hope this time they are inspired and then they perspired rather than imitating .. :D :D but their plan looks attractive and Ive seen them very often on the WHT so hope that they won't dissappoint ... well as far as crystaltech is considerd its one of the reputed hosts around...though i donna have any account but my friend had got his websites hosted on it..and he seems pretty happy with their support and uptime and its NT based.

Hosturbo's Plan 1 costs just 19.95 for 100MB for a year. That's a ridiculously low figure. Wonder how ?
Will there be enough profits for good support ?

Hosturbo is loctaed in India where the currency coversion rates leaves enough scope to manage on this price. Sure these guys have to pay to burst net in US$ but if they sell even 20 accounts per month they are in profits as the cost is easily met of the server..and they know that most of the people never utilise the complete 100 MB and then they can even add HDD

As far as support system is concerned since here in India you can find real gud Support & tech professionals at reasonable amount of price thats why all the US based co.s are outsourcing India for call centres ...

But better you should mail the host ..ask detailed config of the server and ask to create a demo account ..and can check for its support back up...:)

oh my, another thread regarding hosturbo copying other host's content... And it seems hosturbo isn't answering all the questions.
