I have a problem here and probably someone could help us out

There is a domain name that was registered 1 year ago at opensrs

1) It has expired on 24 th May,
2) It cannot be transfered to another registrar, we are currently using bulkregister, stargate and dotregistrar cannot move it anywhere because of its current status and will have to be renewed at opensrs.
3) The client are not having password for Dns modification, Earlier host / Rsp did not provide it
4) The opensrs RSP cannot give us the password because the company is absconding / has closed down

So can we

1) Transfer it to other Rsp (Note that we have no passwords, but admin , tech , billing are in their names)
2) Can the new Rsp give me password for the domain modification

if dns modification is not possible then there is no use doing the same,

Please let me know if we can do something about it asap

I dont know why people realize after domains have expired and then they are in panic,

Please advise what to do

You should be able to transfer it to another OpenSRS RSP.

Then be sure to ask for your user ID and password if they do not automatically provide it.

Another OpenSRS RSP should still be able to transfer the domain, and they should know how to do that. If you've chosen and RSP and they don't know, ask them to email support@opensrs.org giving the ownership information about the domain, their name, and the current RSP's name; and asking for the change to be made.

If you haven't already been in touch with OpenSRS about this, you should also email compliance@opensrs.org to report the nonresponsive RSP to the Compliance Office.
